Two of the most interesting stretches of rail in the world
Railroad videos appeal to a relatively limited audience, so they can be quite expensive. This one is a real bargain. I live on the Donner Pass Route, so I've been looking for a good Donner Pass railroad video for years. This one is a bit dated (it goes back to the Southern Pacific era), but it's just excellent. If you watch this video, you'll understand why it was such a challenge to build the Transcontinental Railroad through the rugged, spectacular territory of the Sierra Nevada and the Rocky Mountains. If you like trains, you'll love this video.
Great Railroad Video
This is another "twin program video " that has been skillfully put together by Questar Inc. useing video shot by Pentrex. It has been very professionally done, and I have the whole series. I heartally recomend them all, they are great for all railroad fans of all ages. .
Did not capture the interest of my 6 year old
Thought my 6 year old would enjoy this video on trains. My son lost interest after 10 minutes. There are better train videos out there.
